Crampons are metal spikes that attach to hiking boots. Our other equipment was a helmet, an ice pick and a harness.
We ate ice from the glacier and it was delicious! The hike was challenging at times but at least we weren't cold! Everyone was bundled to the max. Such a fun and once-in-a-lifetime experience!
